Don’t put the switch to electric vans in reverse

London businesses have invested in electric vans to clean up the city’s air. But at the end of 2025, they’ll have to pay the Congestion Charge – removing a key incentive to switch to more sustainable transport.

We have spoken to many businesses who are concerned by the Mayor of London’s decision for electric vans to pay the Congestion Charge. This will remove a crucial cost advantage to businesses of choosing cleaner, greener technology, which is greatly needed.
 
Let’s not put the switch to electric in reverse!
